Arella, a Long Island native, has had a remarkable journey through the world of basketball, from her standout years at Rutgers University to her tenure in the WNBA and beyond. Selected 22nd overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, she quickly became known for her versatility, skill, and tenacity. She has also represented her country Puerto Rico on the international stage. Recently, she led Puerto Rico to victory in the 2024 FIBA Women’s Centrobasket Championship with a commanding win over the Dominican Republic. In the championship game, Arella finished with an impressive 40 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, earning her the MVP title for the second Centrobasket in a row. She averaged 31.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists across the tournament, solidifying her status as one of the league’s top players.
